Student policies
The terms every Auctus student is held to, and the terms Auctus is held to. These are the policies as submitted to ICF, published here in full rather than summarised. The Enrolment Agreement restates the sections that bind you and is signed before the programme begins.
1Who we are
Auctus Coaching Institute is an initiative of Kureos World AB, a company registered in Sweden under number 559223-5237, with its registered office at Solursgränd 11, 162 65 Stockholm, Sweden.
Ownership. Amelie Williams, 100 per cent.
Contact. General enquiries and the Programme Director: auctus@kureos.com. Post: Solursgränd 11, 162 65 Stockholm, Sweden. We answer enquiries within three working days and formal complaints within the timescales in section 8.
Director of Education. Joseph Tourang, ICF PCC, who also holds the Programme Director role. Both are declared in the Faculty Handbook §02 and in Curriculum Architecture §12.
2What we offer
The Auctus ICF Level 1 (ACC) programme: 68.5 contact hours of coach-specific education across 24 weeks, delivered as 48 live synchronous sessions, two a week, plus 13.5 hours of mentor coaching.
Fully synchronous. Every session is live, and attendance is assessed.
Three phases, each closing on an assessment: Discovery (weeks 1 to 8), Design (weeks 9 to 16) and Integration (weeks 17 to 24). The Phase 1 Gate sits at week 8, the Phase 2 Gate at week 16, and the Capstone runs across weeks 22 to 24.
Maximum mentor to student ratio: one to four.
3Accreditation status
The version of this section in force on the day you enrol is the one that applies to you, and it is restated in your Enrolment Agreement.
Auctus Coaching Institute is preparing its application for ICF Level 1 (ACC) accreditation and currently holds no ICF accreditation. We would rather you learn that here than at graduation.
ICF grants accreditation in two stages
Provisional accreditation follows a review of the curriculum. While a provider holds it, ICF reserves accredited certificates of completion, the ICF accreditation mark and the phrase "fully ICF accredited" for providers who have converted.
Full accreditation follows once a provider has graduated at least one class of a minimum of five participants who completed the entire programme, within one calendar year of the application submission date.
If you enrol before Auctus holds full accreditation
You receive an Auctus Certificate of Completion at graduation. The ICF-accredited certificate follows conversion, and is issued to you at that point, provided you completed the entire programme.
Your route to the ACC credential stands on its own. ICF's Portfolio Path accepts 60 or more hours of coach-specific education from any provider, and Auctus delivers 68.5. What changes is which application route you use, what it costs and how long it takes.
Should accreditation be refused, section 7 sets out exactly what you are entitled to.
4Admissions, accessibility and inclusion
Auctus admits students on evidence of capability and commitment. Admission decisions are made without regard to disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or socioeconomic background. The same holds in assessment: every student is scored against the same published rubric, by assessors calibrated to the same benchmark.
Reasonable adjustments
Adjustments are routine, and we provide these as a matter of course:
- Extended time on written submissions, including the SIGNAL case study, the transcript analysis and the capstone case study.
- Session recordings and written transcripts on request.
- Flexible scheduling of mentor coaching and practicum where a fixed time is a barrier.
- Materials in screen-reader-compatible formats, supplied in advance where preparation time matters.
- Adjustment of camera-on expectations where these present a genuine barrier.
An adjustment changes the route to the standard; the standard itself holds for everyone. A student working with extended time is assessed against the same rubric, at the same threshold, as every other student.
To request an adjustment, contact the Programme Director in confidence, at admission or at any point during the programme. Disclosing a diagnosis stays entirely your choice. We ask only that you describe the barrier and, where you know it, what has worked for you before. Adjustments are agreed in writing, reviewed at each phase transition, and recorded only as far as is necessary to deliver them.
Where you believe an adjustment has been unreasonably refused, the complaints process in section 8 applies.
Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
Non-discrimination is the floor. Above it, Auctus holds itself to four obligations and reports against them annually to the quality assurance process:
- Curriculum. Coaching models are taught with their cultural assumptions named. Where a framework was developed in one context and is being applied in another, faculty say so.
- Faculty. Recruitment runs against published competence criteria, advertised beyond personal networks.
- Cohort culture. Case material and practice scenarios span sectors, geographies and identities. A cohort where every case study is a Northern European executive is a training failure, and it is treated as one.
- Access. The founding cohort's tuition is waived in full. Beyond it, every student pays the published fee, and today that is the whole of our access position: fee assistance, scholarships and sliding scales remain an intention we have yet to build. Cost is a real barrier to entry to this profession, and we own that it is one we currently pass on.
Students may raise a concern with the Programme Director or, where the concern involves the Programme Director, with the Independent Appeals Reviewer named in section 8.
5Fees, payment and the fee schedule
Programme fee: €8,500, excluding VAT.
Founding cohort, January 2027: tuition waived in full. The first cohort carries a programme running for the first time and a certificate that becomes ICF-accredited on conversion rather than on the day of graduation, and it is not asked to pay for that. The offer is open to every applicant who meets the admissions criteria, and it closes when the first cohort is filled.
What the fee includes. All 48 sessions, 13.5 hours of mentor coaching, all programme materials, the Practice Workbook, recording storage and access for the duration of the programme, assessment and one reassessment per gate as described in the Student Programme Guide §13, and the Certificate of Completion.
What sits outside the fee. ICF membership, ICF credentialing application fees, the ICF Credentialing Exam fee, and any technology you need to participate (section 6).
Payment schedule. Three equal instalments, due at the start of each phase: week 1, week 9 and week 17. Paying in instalments carries no charge. Payment by bank transfer. The founding cohort has no fee and no instalments.
The instalments align deliberately with the fee ring-fencing in the Business Closure and Teach-Out Policy §4. You pay for each phase as it begins, and undelivered fees remain yours.
Late or missed payment. Fourteen days of grace, then a conversation with the Programme Director before anything else happens. Every withdrawal for non-payment follows that conversation and a written record of it.
The fee schedule is published on our website and is the same for every student in a cohort, except where a published founding-cohort or early-enrolment rate applies, which is stated with its conditions and its expiry.
6Technology and participation
You need a reliable internet connection, a device with a working camera and microphone, and a private space in which confidential conversations can be held. Cameras are on throughout, subject to section 4.
Sessions are recorded. Your coaching practice is recorded, reviewed by faculty and mentors, and retained as accreditation evidence. Recording is a condition of the programme: it is how observed-coaching evidence is produced, and ICF requires that evidence. Retention and your rights over these recordings are in section 10.
7Cancellation, refunds and delivery
Your right to cancel
You may cancel within 14 days of signing your Enrolment Agreement and receive a full refund, for any reason. Where the programme begins inside that period at your request, we refund in full up to the start date and pro rata thereafter under the schedule below.
This is stated as an Auctus commitment. Your statutory rights are unaffected and may be greater.
Refund schedule
| You withdraw | Refund |
|---|---|
| Before the programme start date | Full refund |
| During Phase 1 (weeks 1 to 8) | Pro rata against sessions delivered |
| After completion of Phase 1 | No refund |
Deferral to a future cohort is available as an alternative to withdrawal and refund, on the terms in Student Programme Guide §12.
If Auctus cancels or falls short of delivery
- If we cancel a cohort before it starts, you receive a full refund, or a place in the next cohort at the same fee, at your choice.
- If a cohort stops once it has started, you receive a full refund of the undelivered portion, a Statement of Attendance for what you completed, and assistance transferring to another provider. The Business Closure and Teach-Out Policy sets out the order of remedies, what you are entitled to at each stage of the programme, and how the commitment is funded.
If ICF accreditation is refused
You choose, and you have 90 days from the date we notify you to decide:
- A full refund of every fee paid, whatever stage you reached; or
- Keep your hours, with a full verified transcript, the documentation ICF requires for the ACC Portfolio Path, and Auctus covering the difference between the Portfolio Path application fee and the Level 1 Path fee you would have paid.
Most students are expected to take the second, because 68.5 verified hours are worth more than the fee. The first exists so that our failure costs you nothing.
8Complaints, grievances and appeals
Academic appeals, covering assessment outcomes, gate decisions and programme-initiated withdrawal, follow Student Programme Guide §13 and QA Plan §08. The appeal window is 10 working days from the result.
Complaints about teaching, conduct, accessibility or any aspect of the service follow this route:
- Informal, to the Programme Director. Acknowledged within 3 working days, resolved within 5.
- Formal, in writing to the Programme Director. Acknowledged within 3 working days, investigated and answered within 10 working days.
- Escalation to the Independent Appeals Reviewer, David Buck (ICF MCC), who is independent of the programme and of the decisions under appeal. The appeal stage carries 15 working days. His decision is final within Auctus.
Every outcome at every stage is given with its reasoning. A decision with no reasoning is unreviewable, and the student is entitled to know why as well as what.
The Director of Education and Programme Director roles are held by the same person, so the escalation route resolves to someone genuinely outside the decision. An assessor will check this specifically, and David Buck holds that role for exactly this reason.
Nothing here affects your right to raise a matter with ICF directly, or with any statutory body holding jurisdiction.
9Illness, absence and interruption
Attendance requirement: minimum 90 per cent in each phase. Attendance is one of several conditions for completion; the others are in Student Programme Guide §11.
Short illness. Notify the Programme Director before the session where possible, or within 24 hours. Illness is an excused absence. You make the session up through recorded content review plus a mentor check-in, which you initiate within 48 hours of the missed session.
Extended illness. Where illness prevents attendance for more than two consecutive sessions, or puts the 90 per cent threshold at risk:
- You may request a leave of absence under Student Programme Guide §12. Leave is taken at the end of a completed phase, and you resume with the next cohort at the start of the next phase. Maximum 12 months.
- Where illness makes the current phase unrecoverable, you repeat that phase with a later cohort. Repeating a phase interrupted by documented illness carries no additional fee.
- Medical evidence may be requested for absences beyond two consecutive sessions. It is held under section 10 and destroyed once the adjustment concludes.
Pregnancy, parental leave and caring responsibilities are treated as leave of absence and sit outside the 90 per cent threshold entirely.
10Your data and your recordings
Auctus records every session and every piece of assessed coaching practice.
- Purpose and basis. Recordings exist to deliver assessment, to provide the observed-coaching evidence ICF requires, and to support your development.
- Access. Your assigned mentor, assessing faculty, and the Programme Director. Every access is logged: who, when, and under what justification.
- Retention. Transcripts, assessment records and certificates are retained for 7 years. ICF compliance evidence, meaning observed-session records and written feedback, is retained for 3 years, covering the accreditation cycle and ICF's standing audit rights. Session and coaching recordings are deleted on the published schedule, which is shorter than both: they hold identifiable clients discussing personal matters, and their purpose ends with your assessment. The same periods apply if Auctus closes, under the Business Closure and Teach-Out Policy §6.
- Your clients. Where you coach a real client, that client gives informed written consent before any recording. The consent form and the client-facing privacy information are provided by Auctus as the Auctus Client Consent Form.
- Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, subject to records we are required to retain for accreditation. Where we decline an erasure request, we tell you which record, why, and on what basis.
Controller. Kureos World AB, Solursgränd 11, 162 65 Stockholm, Sweden.
Storage. Recordings are held by Mux, Inc. in the United States, encrypted at rest, private, and played back only under a signed link that expires within minutes. That transfer rests on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Mux is certified, and on a written data processing agreement. Every other record, including transcripts and assessment records, is held in the European Union.
Supervisory authority. Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
11Ethical marketing
Auctus commits that its marketing:
- states the accreditation status actually held on the day of publication, in ICF's approved wording;
- states that each coach applies to ICF for the credential separately, and that Auctus supplies the education and the evidence for that application;
- describes the education, and leaves income, client volume and career outcomes to the coach and their market;
- represents contact hours, mentor hours and cohort size accurately;
- names the Director of Education and faculty credentials honestly.
Testimonials are published with consent, unedited as to meaning, and identified where a discount or benefit was received.
12Partial completion
A student who leaves the programme before graduating receives formal recognition of what they completed. Nothing you did stops counting because you did not finish.
Statement of Attendance. On withdrawal, on programme-initiated withdrawal, or where a leave of absence lapses, the Programme Director issues a Statement of Attendance recording the sessions attended, the contact hours completed, the mentor coaching hours completed, and the gates passed.
Those hours are real. ICF's ACC Portfolio Path counts coach-specific education hours from any provider, so a student who leaves part way through carries verified hours that still count toward a credential application.
Re-entry. A student who has withdrawn may re-enter within 24 months of their departure date, subject to cohort availability. Phases already completed and gates already passed are credited, and you resume at the start of the next phase. Fees are charged pro rata for the portion of the programme still to be completed.
13Transfer of credit
Auctus does not accept transfer of credit from other coach training providers.
The programme is a single integrated 24-week sequence. Contact hours are not modular: each phase builds on capability assessed in the one before it. This applies without exception, including to applicants who already hold an ICF credential or have completed a programme with another accredited provider.
The position is ICF's as much as ours. The Level 1 Path requires completion of an entire accredited programme, so hours carried in from elsewhere could not be counted toward it even if we wished to count them.
Students returning to complete an earlier Auctus cohort are covered by section 12 and are not a transfer of credit.
